About 3 miles east of downtown Phoenix, right between downtown and Tempe.
Phoenix Sky Harbor is the most centrally located large hub in the country: downtown is a few minutes away and the light rail meets the airport on a free people mover. There are two terminals, Terminal 3 and Terminal 4, since Terminal 2 closed in 2020.
Terminal 4 is the large one and handles the bulk of the traffic, including American Airlines and Southwest. The PHX Sky Train connects the terminals, the Rental Car Center and the Valley Metro Rail station.
Main airlines: American Airlines and Southwest Airlines are the two largest carriers; Delta, United, Frontier and several others also fly here.

The PHX Sky Train is a free automated people mover that connects Terminal 3, Terminal 4, the Rental Car Center and the 44th Street/Washington light rail station. It is outside security. Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 are also linked by free shuttle buses.
Take the Sky Train to 44th St/Washington station and transfer to light rail to reach downtown Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa.
