Jeppesen Terminal
The landside building: ticketing, security (several checkpoint areas), baggage claim and ground transportation. The Westin hotel and the A Line station are attached.
Denver, Colorado KDEN #4 US airport by passengers
About 25 miles northeast of downtown Denver, out on the plains. It is the largest airport in the United States by land area.
Denver is a single terminal with three long concourses. You arrive at the landside Jeppesen Terminal, clear security, and then ride an underground train to Concourse A, B or C. You cannot walk to B or C from the terminal; the train is how you get there, and you should plan for the ride.
The distance from the city is real. The A Line commuter rail makes the trip in about 37 minutes and runs from the terminal basement, but a taxi in rush hour can double that time. If you have an early flight, build in the extra buffer.
Main airlines: United Airlines operates a major hub here; Southwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines also have very large operations and are the other two big carriers by flights.
The FAA is not reporting a ground stop, ground delay program or other delay at DEN right now.
