Terminal 1
The United terminal. Concourses B and C. It also holds some partner-airline flights.
Chicago, Illinois KORD #3 US airport by passengers
About 17 miles northwest of the Chicago Loop, on the far northwest side of the city.
O'Hare is a hub for two rival airlines at once, and that shapes everything about it. United dominates Terminal 1 and parts of Terminal 2; American dominates Terminal 3. Terminal 5 is the international terminal for most foreign carriers. If you connect between United and American, you will be changing terminals.
The good news is that ground transportation to the Loop is easy and runs all night: the CTA Blue Line stops at the airport at all hours. Between terminals, a free automated train covers the whole airport.
Main airlines: United Airlines and American Airlines both operate large hubs here, which is unusual. Delta, Alaska, Spirit and many international airlines complete the picture.
The FAA is not reporting a ground stop, ground delay program or other delay at ORD right now.
