Checkpoints and tips
MYR has one security checkpoint. TSA says the checkpoint is open daily from 4 a.m. until check-in for the last departing flight closes. TSA PreCheck is available, but CLEAR is not, so PreCheck is the fastest way through.
- TSA recommends arriving 2 hours before a domestic flight and 3 hours before an international flight.
- TSA PreCheck wait times are usually under 10 minutes, compared with 25 to 35 minutes for general lanes, according to the airport.
- Busiest times are Friday and Sunday afternoons and evenings during summer and spring break, when tourist traffic peaks.
