Your options for leaving a car at PIE, and how to avoid paying more than you need to.

Where to park at PIE

PIE does not take reservations, so parking is first come, first served. The airport says parking lots reach capacity during June and July, the busiest months. Plan extra time for shuttles, and consider getting a ride to the airport.

  • Long-Term

$2 for the first hour, $1 for each additional 20 minutes, capped at $16 per day. It is open 24 hours and is within walking distance of the terminal. When it is full, you will be directed to the Economy lots.

  • Short-Term

$2 for the first hour, $1 for each additional 20 minutes, capped at $25 per day. Overnight parking is not allowed, and if you park overnight you will be charged the daily rate.

  • Economy lots

$12 per day, with a free shuttle every 20 minutes on average. The three lots are Key Lime, Strawberry and Overflow. Remember which lot you parked in so you board the right shuttle.

  • Cell phone lot

Free for picking up arriving passengers. Overnight parking is not permitted, and vehicles left overnight may be towed.

  • Shuttles begin running two hours before the first flight of the day, and they average about 20 minutes between pickups.
  • The Strawberry Economy lot is due to be replaced by a parking garage, with work starting in January 2027 and the garage expected to open by Spring Break 2028.
  • Take note of the shelter number where you board the shuttle to the Economy lot, so you can find it when you return.
