Terminal 1
International terminal serving a range of foreign carriers.
New York, New York KJFK #6 US airport by passengers
In southeastern Queens, New York City, about 15 miles from Midtown Manhattan.
JFK is in the middle of the biggest rebuild in its history. New terminals are replacing old ones, and the list of terminals and their airline assignments is changing. Always confirm your terminal on your boarding pass or the airline app, not from an old map.
The AirTrain is the backbone of the airport. It is free inside the airport and connects the terminals with the rail connections at Jamaica and Howard Beach. For most travelers, that is the way in and out.
Main airlines: JetBlue and Delta are the largest domestic operators. JFK is also the main international gateway to New York, with dozens of foreign airlines.
The FAA is not reporting a ground stop, ground delay program or other delay at JFK right now.
