Where to park at IAD

Dulles has several parking choices. The closer lots are more expensive, and the farther lots are cheaper but need a shuttle.

  • Terminal Lot

An uncovered lot right in front of the terminal, with a covered walkway. It is the closest self-parking, and it is best for short stays or drop-offs.

  • Parking Garage 1

North of the terminal and about a five-minute walk. It is next to the Metro station, and it has a shuttle to the terminal.

  • Parking Garage 2

West of the terminal and about five minutes on foot. It is the best choice for international flights on the west side of the terminal, and a free 24-hour shuttle runs from it.

  • Economy Parking

The cheapest option, reached by a free shuttle that takes about 15 minutes to get to the terminal.

  • Valet

Offered at the departures level in Zone 3. Valet pick-up is in the Terminal Lot.

  • Garage shuttles stop about every 15 minutes, and the trip from the garages to the terminal takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Metro is often the most convenient option for travelers who live in or near Washington, because the Dulles station sits next to Garage 1.
