Reno, Nevada KRNO #66 US airport by passengers
In Reno, Nevada, off Plumb Lane and I-580. The airport says it is within about 15 minutes of the major hotels in the area.
Reno-Tahoe International is a single-terminal airport with one security checkpoint on the first floor and two post-security concourses, B (gates B1 to B12a) and C (gates C1 to C12), joined by the High Mountain Marketplace on the second floor. The terminal building is open 24 hours a day, but the checkpoint opens only shortly before the first departure of the day.
The airport is in the middle of a large construction program called MoreRNO. The current B and C concourses are being replaced by two new concourses, which the airport calls New Gen A and New Gen B. Construction began in February 2026, New Gen A is expected to open in 2028 and New Gen B in 2029, so gate assignments and walking routes will keep changing in the meantime.
RNO is the main commercial airport for the Reno-Sparks area and for much of Lake Tahoe. North Lake Tahoe Express and the South Tahoe Airporter both run shuttle service from the airport, and the airport still has slot machines in the concourses.
